5 th Grade Social Studies Curriculum in Fifth grade is The Western Hemisphere Class will consist of reading, discussion, note taking, the viewing of videos, working on laptops, group work and projects Notes and handouts will be placed directly into the student’s copybook. Trimester grades will consist of class work, homework, quizzes, tests and projects. All tests and quizzes will be announced at least 4 days in advance.

Homework Children are responsible for writing their homework in there assignment book before leaving each class All tests and quizzes are written on side board. Begin each trimester with a homework grade of 100; for every incomplete homework, 5 points will be deducted Progress reports will be sent home mid-trimester
