Category and Authorship Analysis Set I  Papers were published:  36.8% in environmental engineering  71.9% in environmental science  28.1% in other disciplines  Authorship of recipients:  68.4% were the first and corresponding author  15.8% were neither authorship Set II  Authorship of recipients:  21% were the first and corresponding author Methodology  Theory was rejected  Results did not show any indication of significant contribution of the outstanding award receivers in SCI journals  Denoted failure of the purpose of the award 1.
