Extensive Environmental Benefits of Commercial LED Lighting

According to a U.S. Department of Energy study, by 2017, LED bulbs will have half the impact of today’s LED bulbs and 70 percent less impact than today’s CFLs, which are not expected to change significantly.

As we become more aware of various environmental impacts, we are taking prompt steps to do everything possible to protect our natural resources. For someone interested in commercial LED lighting for industries, you will be happier to find a number of environmental benefits of using LED lights.

MINIMIZED LIGHT POLLUTION Using LED lighting is highly efficient because no light is wasted when compared to conventional lighting. Light outputs from LED’s are directional and it can be focused in a required area using an optical guidance and there is no wastage of light. Thereby, it completely eliminates light pollution.

REDUCED CARBON EMISSIONS Usage of conventional lighting systems requires certain poisonous elements to manufacture them. But, a LED lighting system doesn’t require such harmful elements like Mercury and other noxious and polluting gases.

LOWER HEAT OUTPUT The maximum operating temperature of an LED is 45°C while other conventional lights have an operating temperature of 300° - 450°C. Therefore, it reduces heat pollution and offers savings in the operation of secondary interior systems such as air conditioning.
