DLM Early Childhood Express Our DLM Early Childhood Express curriculum is designed to build a child’s healthy self-concept and positive attitude toward school and learning. Children develop concrete skills through experiences with music, art, storytelling, and teacher-directed lessons that, in addition to skills development emphasize practice and reflection.

Areas of development Assessed by Teaching Strategies GOLD-check website for specific objectives we are assessing. Assessment will be ongoing. Data is collected with observations, pictures, and note taking. There is a phone app that is used that goes directly to website. If you see us using the phone, we are actually taking data! Conferences will be held twice a year: August 26th/27th and May 11th/12th (Community Preschool only)

Let’s look at some preschool activities and see what children are learning… “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” - Fred Rogers
