Our vision here at Temple University Vision: A university campus mobilized through soccer and education to create an HIV/AIDS-aware environment. Strategy ◦ College Students are known to strive for success and thus by working as united group we can make a difference.

Why Soccer? Football (soccer) is a vital part of culture and even considered a religion to people across the world It is something so positive that it brings smiles to children’s faces even in the worst of circumstances, like conflict-ridden areas across the world In most places, simply arriving at a field with a soccer ball will win you instant friendships Ask the founders of the collegiate chapter

Why HIV/AIDS? 4vpFQ 4vpFQ 34 million men, women, and children worldwide are currently infected with HIV. 17 million people, half of those currently infected, do not yet know their status. 26 million people, more than ¾ of those currently infected, do not receive proper anti-retroviral treatment.

Why HIV/AIDS? In 2011, youth (15-24) accounted for 40% of all new global HIV infections in people aged 15 years and older In 2011, there were an estimated five million youth living with HIV and some 2400 youth newly infected with HIV every day Between 2001 and 2011, prevalence of HIV, fell by nearly 27% among young people aged globally

Our history as a collegiate chapter Founder, Haseeb Goheer, created the collegiate chapter concept

Our methods of raising HIV/AIDS awareness Methods of instruction: 1. Guest Lectures presented by experts in public health, scientific research, and social work 2. Soccer and non-soccer activities 3.
