Guide Questions 1.Are “human rights” purely a western concept, or is it universal? 2.What is the concept of “human rights” in non- western traditions?

Guide Questions 3.Is the concept of the “human body” the same in relation to these“human rights” in Western and nonwestern contexts? 4.What is the relationship between domestic constitutional law and international human rights law, and how are “human rights” and the“human body” configured in these?

Guide Questions 5.What mechanisms exist nationally and internationally for enforcing human rights? How effective are they, based on particular test cases, such as the Soering and El Mozote cases?
