Requirements for graduation Prequalified Admissions Kansas State Scholars

What do You need to graduate? 4 credits in English 3 credits in Social Studies 3 credits in Science 3 credits in Math 1 credit PE Foundations 1 credit in Fine Arts ½ credit in Financial Literacy ½ credit in CTE 7.5 credits in electives = 23 total credits (or more)

How do you earn a credit You must pass the courses with an A, B, C or D in order to earn the credit. Each semester, each class you pass you earn.5 of a credit.

What happens if I fail a class? If it is a required course for graduation, you will have to take it again. The F will remain on your transcript even after you have successfully passed the course. If you fail English 9, you will have to retake this during summer school or at the Learning Center. The cost is $90 per.5 credit. If you fail a math class, you will be taken off sequence and repeat the course the following semester.

Qualified Admission To be accepted at a college or university you must meet their admission requirements. For the state 4 year universities (KU, KSU, WSU, PSU, FHSU, ESU, Washburn) you must meet the qualified admissions. These classes must all be approved by the State Regents, ask Ms Terriere if you have questions on the classes.

Qualified Admissions These courses with a GPA in them of 2.0 AND 4 units of English (unit = credit) 3 units of Science (one must be chemistry or physics) 3 units of Social Studies 3 units of math AND an ACT score of higher than 22 in math OR 4 units of math with the 4 th class one that is higher than Algebra 2. 3 units of approved elective credits.
