The New SAT at BNHS on March 2 nd, 2016 All junior students will be taking the new SAT at BNHS on Wednesday, March 2 nd, at BNHS during the school day. This is a great opportunity for all juniors, and we want to make sure you are prepared to do your best!

Note on Optional SAT Essay One major change is the SAT essay being optional and not mandatory. You will be required to complete the SAT essay for the school-wide exam on March 2 nd ! Please keep in mind that although colleges and universities are not currently requiring students to submit an SAT writing score, this could change in the future. What You Need to Know for March 2nd: Arrive to school on time, and report directly to your SAT testing room. Rosters with names and room numbers will be placed along the courtyard windows no later than the day before the exam.

What You Need to Know for March 2nd: You will have approximately 30 minutes to eat lunch. We STRONGLY recommend that you bring your lunch, so that you’re not spending the entire 30 minutes standing in line to purchase a lunch in the student union. You may bring appropriate, non-messy snacks to your SAT room, and will be allowed to eat these during your scheduled breaks.

What You Need to Know for March 2nd: You MUST have a BNHS ID to enter the testing room. You will need two No. 2 pencils with erasers (mechanical pencils and pens are not allowed). All phones and other electronic devices will need to be stored in your backpacks away from your desk during the exam. We will provide a calculator for your use on the appropriate math section of the SAT exam.
