A head and neck surgeon at Mount Nittany Physician’s Group, Dr. James Freije currently provides otolaryngology services at the practice’s State College, Pennsylvania, office located at 3901 South Atherton Street. A prominent lecturer and author in the field of otolaryngology, Dr. James Freije has held several academic appointments over the course of his more than 30-year career.

Shortly after completing his fellowship in head and neck oncologic surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Dr. James Freije obtained a position as an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at The Pennsylvania State College of Medicine in Hershey.

He also served as an associate professor of otolaryngology in the Department of Otolaryngology at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse.
