 Shop was closed long enough to be missed and not long enough for folk to routinely go elsewhere  Amazing support from the community  Well attended meetings. Info sent out beforehand  Community helped with refurb – kept down costs and got folk involved  Business plan targets exceeded NCDC - CAM Event 16th November 2012

 Think long and hard before taking on a debt  The large store is effectively a liability – was this wise?  Turnover now requires consolidated accounts for all three companies – expensive. Is there a better company structure?  Shop is well supported now, but always keep an eye on the future, try to build up reserves.  NCDC is in a rocky place financially – easier to manage assets with paid staff NCDC - CAM Event 16th November 2012

 Numerous successful projects creating services and facilities in the community  BUT ….nevertheless, without a cash cow project the NCDC has a funding gap in this financial year and a larger gap in future years……what’s the answer?  Time spent filling out funding forms, rather than in the community  Watch this space?
