GIRAFFE CONSERVATION FOUNDATION (GCF) UK Grasmere road Purley Surrey CR8 1DU England By: Student #1 and Student #2 A sustainable future where all giraffe populations and species are protected and secure in the world

StephanieFennessy Stephanie Fennessy The GCF was founded on April 7 th 2009 by Stephanie Fenessy. Steph is a skilled and experienced project manager with a range of expertise in the environmental and conservation sectors. For the past decade she has been involved in a wide range of giraffe projects across Africa.

THE STORY GCF was created to promote and support giraffe conservation initiatives and work collaboratively with local communities to develop a sustainable future for both people and wildlife.

82% OF GCF’S FUNDING COMES FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND 18% COMES FROM PUBLIC DONATIONS Restricted Grants 82% Public Donation 18%

FINANCIAL GCF’s total income for the 2012/13 financial year was 37,939 euros Charitable Work 86% Expenses 14%

INTERESTING FACTS The GCF finds out what the current giraffe status is and tries to identify their key threats and innovate ways to mitigate these. Which means they want to decrease the risk of threats towards a giraffe from their key predators. It also means that they want to make it so the giraffe has less severe, and serious injuries.

VOTE FOR US Here is what our foundation’s vision is The GCF wants to make sure they “Develop a world class network of individuals and organisations dedicated to securing the future of giraffes.” They also want to make sure they protect and find a secure home for giraffes and other wildlife. They want to make their company to be the key focal organisation for giraffe conservation and management. With your vote they can protect even more giraffes. I need your vote!
