Project Summary - ADL Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative –DoD contracted –Goal: Standardize development of e-learning environments and content –Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) standards –Conformance Test Suite (CTS) and Sample Run-Time Environment (RTE)

What is SCORM? Set of technical standards, specifications, and guidelines designed to meet requirements for learning content and systems Seeks to bring together disparate groups and interests in the distributed learning community

Conformance Test Suite Provides organizations with SCORM conformance testing software, procedures and documentation Passing the SCORM CTS indicates a products’ conformance to SCORM

Sample Run-Time Environment Acts as a sample Learning Management System to run against the Conformance Test Suite Demonstration tool to show SCORM conformant content running in a SCORM environment
