Introduction  UK Link Technology refresh (UKLTR) commissioned two new Data centres with TCS in Feb 2008  Peterborough and Wellingborough  We are now planning to exit from Wellingborough by 30 th September 2008  Operate from Kettering and Peterborough

Approach During the move we will:  Run Services from Peterborough with Additional Resilience  Move the Wellingborough kit to Kettering  BT 211CN data centre that is available at the time of Wellingborough closure  Initially run Kettering as Fail over Site  Peterborough and Kettering resume DC Dual Capability once Kettering is fully operational

High Level Timeline Active-Active data centre operations Active-Passive data centre operations Single data centre operation at P’boro (24 hours each) Production service failover 1 st Jul1 st Aug 1 st Sep1 st Oct 1 st Nov P’boro – Kettering operations P’boro – W’boro operations st Dec 1. 12th Aug - Delivery of additional hardware (for resilience) at P’boro 2. 23rd Aug - Temporary data centre area ready at Kettering 3. 29th Aug - Build and test completed for additional hardware at P’boro 4. 29th/30th Aug – Operate from P’boro with additional resilience 5. 15th Sep – Failover resilience available at Kettering 6. 30th Sep - Closure of W’boro data centre 7. 21st/22nd Nov – Full dual site resilience

Outages / Next Steps  29 th /30 th August – Peterborough Additional Resilience Implementation  No shipper and network impacts as done in housekeeping windows  All to send in files as usual  Planned for a 5 hour system outage on Saturday 30th 17:30 – 22:30 as Contingency  15 th September 2008 – Transfer kit from Wellingborough to Kettering  Wellingborough officially closes 30 th September  Movement of kit independent of production service at Peterborough  Moving and installation testing will take 24 hours  Repeat a subset of the UKLTR Operational Acceptance Tests  Kettering DC available as Fail over site

Outages / Next Steps  21 st /22 nd November – Full Dual Site Resilience  No shipper and network impacts as done in housekeeping windows  All to send in files as usual  In event of failure, revert to using Peterborough as the main site.  Planned for a 5 hour system outage on Saturday 30 th 17:30 – 22:30 as Contingency’
