Math Test Overview The Mathematics Test is divided into two equally weighted parts: On Part I - 25 questions; 45 minutes; Casio fx-260 On Part II - 25 questions; 45 minutes; no calculator

Math Test Overview A math formulas page is provided for your reference during the test.

Math Test Overview 80% of the questions are multiple choice, 20% of the questions require you to find your own answer. On questions that are not multiple choice, you will use standard grids and coordinate plane grids to mark your answer.

Math Test Overview Number operations and number sense (20%- 30%) Operations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percents

Math Test Overview Measurement and geometry (20%-30%) Perimeter, area and volume formulas, Pythagorean theorem, angles, degree measurements, and similar figures

Math Test Overview Data analysis, statistics, and probability (20%- 30%) Mean, median, mode, probability, and interpreting charts and graphs

Math Test Overview Algebra, functions, and patterns (20%-30%) Algebraic equations and word problems, formulas, recognizing and working with number patterns

Math Test Overview Approximately 50% of the test items are based on graphics, such as charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams.

Math Test Overview Some questions will provide you with more information than you need to answer them correctly. Use only the data that is relevant to the particular question.

Math Test Overview Erase stray marks or incorrect answers thoroughly so that the software does not misinterpret a stray mark as an answer.

Math Test Overview Use time wisely. Do not spend too much time on a problem that you are unable to calculate. Move on to another problem. If time allows, come back to the troublesome problem.
