UNCCD secretariat support the participaton of CSOs to the Conferance and their accreditation process Accredited CSOs of Turkey; TEMA (The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestration and the Protection of Natural Habitats) Ana Doku (Anatolian Nature and Culture Conservation Cooperative) Öz Orman İş (Öz Orman-İş Trade Union) and Ege Orman Vakfı (Aegean Forest Foundation) have applied for accreditation. 7 COP 12 and CSOs

Training Program on «The Role of Civil Society Organizations in Combating Desertification» was held in Ankara, between June Organization representatives from 11 CSOs from Turkey attended the program. In the scope of the COP preperation process General Directorate organized a meeting in order to bring together Turkish CSOs. 134 CSOs called for the meeting.
