Francisco Vasquez de Cornado was a Explorer of Spain he was used for exploring riches. He was from Mexico and had a wife who was very wealthy he explored from 1540 to 1542 and traveled four times.
THE REASON HE WAS EXPLORING WAS TO FIND RICHES FOR SPAIN. HE STARTED EXPLORING BECAUSE A PRIEST HAD TOLD HIM ABOUT THESE SEVEN CITIES LOCATED IN CIBOLIA. RICHER THAN THE AZTEC EMPIRE ( VERY RICH ).
Then a slave had told him that there was a land. Filled with gold and that the land was full of riches and beautiful nature every where this land was Kanas.
HE WAS FAMOUS BECAUSE HE FOUND NO GOLD OR RICHES BUT, FOUND RIO GRANDE AND THE GRAND CANYON AND HE FOUND KANAS AS WELL.
Some interesting facts was he was charged with bad leadership and was thrown in jail for killing the slave that told him about Kanas.
