The 11 th Annual International Day of Prayer for the Maltese Islands The Father’s Glory

John 15:7-8 If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Malta is an independent nation and part of the European Union. It is located in the middle of the Mediterranean, below Italy and above Libya.

Malta is traditionally Roman Catholic and many Maltese are religious. However few follow Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid… your minds should be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

Ask that God’s Word will be heard, read, and understood all across Malta and Gozo, the smaller island.

Pray that people who have been deceived or misled would have their ears unstopped and their eyes opened to TRUTH. Especially lift up new believers and ask that they will listen to the Holy Spirit and be discipled to walk in His path for their lives.

Eph. 3:20-21 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen!

Pray that in Malta, according to His power and beyond anything that we could ever ask or imagine, the Father will be glorified in all ages- children, youth, families, adults, and seniors.

Acts 5:42 Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.

Ask that as Maltese come to understand that Jesus paid the price for their salvation, that they will share openly and fervently both in public and in their homes and families, in spite of opposition.

John 13:34-35 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Pray that Maltese believers will display such evident love for one another that everyone will know without a doubt that Jesus is the reason.

Psalm 67:5-7 May the peoples praise You, O God; may all the peoples praise You. Then the land will yield its harvest; and God, our God, will bless us. God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear Him.

Ask that Maltese believers will not be divided but will stand in unity together, praising God’s name. Petition for a mighty revival across Malta that leads to repentance and transformation locally and across the surrounding nations.

Psalm 33:11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.

Celebrate with confidence that the Father’s plans WILL be done in Malta and in Gozo!
