First jobs! Getting your first job is very exciting especially getting your first wage! You might start off by having a summer job or weekend job whilst you are still at high school or college. Sometimes people have many different jobs before they find the right one for them!

Celebrity first jobs! They may be rich and famous now, but it turns out even the stars have had their fair share of different jobs over the years.

Michelle Keegan – Coronation Street Corrie’s Michelle Keegan used to work at Manchester airport - checking people in for their flights.

Cheryl Cole - Singer Before making it big as a pop star, Cheryl worked as a waitress in Newcastle.

Why is having a job important? You can earn money. If you earn money you can buy things you need, pay your bills, have a place to live etc! Without money, you can’t do much! It makes you feel good! Knowing you can do something well and earn money for your skills is a great feeling!

Why is having a job important? When you work you contribute to the community. You are being a valued community member. You learn! You develop new skills and keep learning new things. You have self-respect! You are being responsible and making sure you can take care of yourself.

Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life!
