Ladies and gentlemen My name is Zohreh Baseri, and I am the Keeper and curator of coins and seals at National Museum of Iran. My department holds an extensive collection of coins and seals of ancient Iran, both before and after Islam. Since our last meeting, I have learned much more about my job and have gained valuable experience both personally and professionally. Personally:

. F. Iran, Various cities and universities. Professionally: I was recently promoted to the Head of the Department. I was therefore, able to re-arrange all the coins and seals in special cases and cabinets, in order to protect and conserve them. This has been done under my supervision. The collection of coins and seals numbers more than 30 thousands, covering the Achaemenid, Parthian and Sasanian periods, the local rulers of Persis (Pars), Elymais, Tabaristan and the Arab Sasanian period.Last summer, our collection of seals went on line for the first time.

This website is popular is used for research for by people and scholars who are interested in learning about the history of Iran. Our new display cases in the museum have replaced the old ones. The new cases have better lighting for a better view.
