The NASA Space Apps Challenge, NASA’s open innovation incubator program, took place April in 179 cities in 71 countries A weekend-long event to engage creative and scientific minds around the world to develop innovative solutions to a series of challenges facing NASA here on Earth and in space.
Space Apps began 5 years ago out of Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Previous Global Mainstages have included Houston and New York City. For 2016, Pasadena was selected as the Global Mainstage.
