Warm-Up To complete the warm-up, go to the ISTC 501 Wiki page and under the Bridget Berends tab click on the Warm-up link.

Objectives: The students will identify and communicate concerns faced by humans by using different types of technology. The students will classify concerns faced by humans into the areas of Family and Consumer Science by creating and sharing a Wordle.

Wordle Assignment 1.Everyone will receive a card with an area of Family and Consumer Science. 2.Log on to 3.Individually you will create a Wordle about your content area of Family and Consumer Science listed on your card. 4.Select words from the warm-up that fit under our content area. 5.Add other words that you feel relate to your content area. 6.Your Wordle must have a minimum of 15 words. 7. Once you have your Wordle finished to your satisfaction, print Wordle then minimize the screen until group share time. 8.When you are finished, in a new screen you can create new Wordles on topics of your choice.

Musical Chairs Project Share 1.On the back of your Wordle Grading Rubric there is a Musical Chairs Project Share worksheet. 2.Enlarge you finished Family and Consumer Science Wordle to the center of our screen. 3.Everyone will stand behind their chair. 4.When the music starts to play you will move to your right and walk around the room in a circle. 5.When the music stops you will sit at the computer closest to you. 6.You will review that students Wordle and fill in your Musical Chairs Project Share writing the content area of the Wordle and one word you thought was important. 7.Steps 3 to 6 will be repeated three more times.

Closure 1.All students will share one of their responses on the Musical Chairs Project Share with the class. 2.Staple your Wordle, grading rubric and Musical Chairs Project Share together. 3.Make sure your name is on all three copies. 4. Hand papers in to Mrs. Berends before you leave.
