Status of MobiDICK 4 Vinícius Barbosa Schettino on behalf of the MobiDICK 4 group

Page  2 Introduction  MobiDick is a testbench used to provide full certification of the super-drawers during maintenance periods  The system is currently in its third version, and the goal is to have a new version ready for the long shutdown, in 2013  Motivation: it should be smaller and lighter, while using new technologies. It will provide better mobility and make the system more reliable

Page  3 System Overview

Page  4 Mother Board  Working on Linux embedding  Decision for real PowerPC 440 inside the Virtex5  Adopted implementation: Xilkernel 5.00 –Task scheduler –POSIX API –Xilinx support –Simple/robust –C /C++ –Easy maintenance  Extended with: lwIP –TCP/IP stack –Open source –Socket API

Page  5 High Voltage and LED Driver Boards  Schematics done  Layout done  PCB being produced at Clermont Ferrand HV boardLED Driver board

Page  6 Trigger Board  Schematics done  Layout done  Already produced at IFIC  Assembling components

Page  7 CAN Bus  Schematics done  Layout done  Already produced at IFIC  Assembling components

Page  8 Power Supply Board  Schematics done  Layout done  Already produced at IFIC  Assembling components

Page  9 Glue software  Daemon running in motherboard to communicate with Willy  Documentation of existing version of the code ongoing
