Console: Physiology Logging MR Clinical Science December 15, 2012

CONFIDENTIAL MR Clinical Science, December 15, Physiology Logging VCG, PPU and Respiratory belt If connected, information is by default automatically stored to: G:\log\scanphyslog\SCANPHYSLOG.log Sample rate depends on monitoring device: Wired and simulated: 500 Hz Wireless: 496 Hz

CONFIDENTIAL MR Clinical Science, December 15, 2012 Physiology Logging – Log File For each scan a ASCII file is created. Header followed by data Data list the physiology sensor data of at least 15 seconds preceding the start scan moment up to and including the end scan moment. v1raw, v2raw: Raw VCG data v1, v2: Filtered VCG data ppu: Peripheral pulse unit resp: Respiratory belt gx, gy, gz: Gradients mark: Marker

CONFIDENTIAL MR Clinical Science, December 15, 2012 Physiology Logging – Marker Field The marker information field is a hexa-decimal representation of a 16 bit bitmask designating the type of markers attached with this physiology sample time moment. So more markers can be set at the same time. The following values are identified: 0000H : No marker 0001H : ECG R top trigger marker 0002H : PPU trigger marker 0004H : Resp trigger marker 0008H : Measurement marker (acquisition marker) 0010H : Start scan marker 0020H : Stop scan marker

CONFIDENTIAL MR Clinical Science, December 15, 2012 Physiology Logging – Advanced if not automatically enabled: edit the file: c:\temp\bstrace.dat and add the line: * log_samples_on * Data between the scans is not logged. To continue sampling after a scan, use the following line in bstrace.dat instead: * log_samples_cont_on * and run the following command in a cmd window: C:\nmr\gyroscan\programs\OSLNM_NU modify system gyro_trace c:\temp\bstrace.dat Starting a new scan will start a new log file.

CONFIDENTIAL MR Clinical Science, December 15, G:\Ppe\Tools\Pysiology viewer\ PhysView.exe can be used to visualize scanphyslog output. Several display options are available.
