The wet weather makes the British to spend a lot of time indoors. In the afternoon they like to drink a cup of tea while watching TV. They also go to a pub for a beer in the evening.

British people like to travel a lot. They usually go to countries where they can enjoy the nice weather and the sun. Many British go to Cyprus and other south European countries.

One of the things the British love to do when they are on holiday is to go to the beach and enjoy the sun and the warm weather.

A lot of tourists travel to Britain too, mainly to London, where there are many popular tourist attractions. Some are: the Tower of London, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, London Bridge and the British Parliament. Tourists can also visit the archaeological museum and Madame Tussauds museum of wax figures. However everywhere in the country there are a lot of medieval castles, fortresses and towers popping up in the forests.

Many tourists travel to London, for shopping as well.

There are a lot of events taking place in London for ex. exhibitions, athletic or musical and other cultural events that the tourists enjoy to watch. Shakespeare is a famous British writer.

London’s underground was already being used in 1863 and was the first underground built in the world. More than a half million people use it for their everyday needs.

When the weather is good the British love to go for a walk in the park and enjoy the sun and the nature. In Britain there are a lot of national parks.

British people are very interested in sports too, especially soccer. Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are some of the English teams. Rangers is a famous team in Scotland.
