Daniel Handler

American author and screenwriter, known under the pseudonym Lemony Snicket, author of children's book series "33 disaster." Handler was born in 1970 in San Francisco, California. In 1992 he graduated from Wesleyan University. Handler's first novel, The Basic Eight, refused to release many publishers because of its content (pessimistic outlook on life of a teenage girl). According to the most Handler, he got 37 failures from publishing houses, before he could publish the novel.

In 1999, Handler under the pseudonym Lemony Snicket began writing a series of children's books " 33 disaster ". In the books of the series tells the story of three orphaned children, which literally dumped all kinds of misfortune and adversity. The first book in the series, " A bad start," came out in Series " 33 disaster ", consisting of 13 volumes, has won enormous popularity and became an international bestseller.
