Overview haringey.gov.uk Festival Republic has taken over the delivery of Wireless from Live Nation - although Live Nation still own the rights to Wireless and therefore you will still see their name associated with the event The Council in its role as Park Landlord has met the organisers a number of occasions over the past months to discuss park hire matters delivery of the event impact on park and surrounding areas The Council in its role as Licensing Authority has also convened The Safety Advisory Group 3 times in the last few months. This has involved input from Police, LAS, LFB Transport providers inc TfL, London Buses, Network Rail Council officers from Haringey, Hackney and Islington Festival Republic brings an experienced management team with many years experience in delivery internationally acclaimed festivals (eg Leeds & Reading, Fleadh, Galstonbury)

Security & Stewarding haringey.gov.uk Multiple companies engaged with focus on specific areas, on and off site External moat will run around much of site perimeter offering visual presence Reserve security teams utilised where and when required Each team managed by an ex police officer Increase of stewards placed in key roads off Seven Sisters Road with ASB focus, 2 static and 2 patrolling up and down road engaging event goers Council staff to take part in security and steward briefings ensuring high communication standards are adhered to Metropolitan Police has and continue to be fully engaged with the event planning through the SAG and direct meetings with Festival Republic Dedicated police presence in and around event site Discussions ongoing around use of Local Policing Teams for side roads Team of voluntary Event Hosts to supplement stewards, offering local knowledge to event goers – made up of Haringey Council staff with additional support from Hackney Council staff volunteers

Traffic Management – Inside Park haringey.gov.uk Movement of site vehicles between Hornsey and Oxford Road Gates restricted between 8.20 – 9am and 3.20 – 4pm Public parking directed on carriageway to north of Hornsey Gate (purple line) Clearer sight lines to south of Hornsey Gate Security located at Hornsey Gate directing traffic and briefing on speed limits Security desk to right of Hornsey Gate (near staff yard) directing traffic appropriately and again briefing drivers No public parking on event days Park user groups and blue badge holders allowed access with appropriate permits

Traffic Management Outside Park haringey.gov.uk Hackney to extend hours of existing parking control in streets off Seven Sisters Road to deter event goers from parking Hackney resident barriers will remain locked during egress, apart from Queen’s Drive – only opened for resident access Roads closed during egress: Seven Sisters Road - between Hornsey Road and Green Lanes Stroud Green – between Seven Sisters Road and Tollington Park / Upper Tollington Park closed between 10 – 11.30pm on Friday and Saturday closed between 9.30 – 11pm on Sunday

Cleansing & On Street Toilets haringey.gov.uk Festival Republic responsible for cleansing in streets around the park, and Station Place (blue) In 2015 Live Nation contractor was supplemented with increased daily provision from all three boroughs 2016 Festival Republic has commissioned Hackney Council cleansing services to provide cleansing both inside event area and in surrounding streets, in addition to daily cleansing resource provided by three boroughs - allowing for much more coordinated approach Standby Community Response Team on call to respond to any issues identified by residents, duty officers etc On street toilets placed in Prah Road, Finsbury Park Road, Wilberforce Road, Queen’s Drive and Alexandra Grove, with numbers increased in busier roads - Finsbury Park and Wilberforce Roads

Noise haringey.gov.uk Sound levels set in accordance with code of practice Main stage position directed away from residential properties on Seven Sisters Road Additional buffering added to Stage 3 to help noise reduction, plus sound checks Software used to target individual frequencies including low frequencies to ensure within permitted levels Vanguardia contracted by Festival Republic to monitor noise levels on site and in surrounding streets Haringey’s Noise Monitoring Officers will monitor any complaints from further afield Complaints will be monitored on site in the Event Control Room and discussed at hourly Event Liaison Meetings to establish patterns and take appropriate action Fireworks are due to be used to accompany last performance at end of each day
