HIRADMAT/ IRRADITION facilities Overall view with the biggest object to irradiat, T9 shielding with TED inside and the beam dump with 12 meters of cast iron shielding blocks. The passage is also protected with 400mm of cast iron blocks + 240mm of marble plates. ML-EN/MEF-ABA

HIRADMAT/ IRRADITION facilities View without the shielding surrounding the downstream part of TED ML-EN/MEF-ABA

HIRADMAT/ IRRADITION facilities View inside T9- new TED composed with 500mm of Carbon (upstream) and a standard TED. Both are inside an hermetic stainless steel tube (vacuum or pressure) and TED is cooled by chilled water. The dismantling of new TED can be managed easily by removing 3 shielding on the top.
