Section 1 Container Definition of container A shipping container is a container with strength suitable to withstand shipment, storage, and handling. Shipping containers range from large reusable steel boxes used for intermodal shipments to the ubiquitous corrugated boxes. In the context of international shipping trade, a container is designed to be moved from one mode of transport to another without unloading and reloading. Its size is uaually more than one cunbic meter.

The kinds of container utilized for transporting cargo overseas designed to accommodate various kinds of dry cargo. Its number is the largest. 1.Dry cargo container

they are a type of packaging used to ship temperature sensitive products such as foods and chemicals. They are used as part of a cold chain to help maintain product freshness and efficacy. It usually includes three types: Refrigerated Container 、 Insulated Produce Container 、 Ventilated Container. 2 、 Insulated shipping containers

1 3.Special Container Designed for the transportation of special cargo with special designs and facilities in container structure and device. It can be devided into Solid Bulk Container 、 Tank Container 、 Open Top Container 、 Plat Rack Container.

Container loading A Full Container Load (FCL) is an ISO standard container that is loaded and unloaded under the risk and account of one shipper and only one consignee, in practice it means that the whole container is intended for one consignee.

LCL Less than Container Load Cargo(LCL) can be defined as "a consignment of cargo which is inefficient to fill a shipping container. It is grouped with other consignments for the same destination in a container at a container freight station".
