All Time Great Quarterbacks (Paper Title) Gian Pagnucci (Your Name)

Introduction This slide needs to draw the reader in You might use any of the following techniques: –Use an interesting quote –Give a surprising statistic –Give a brief paragraph that tells a simple story –Ask question –State a surprising fact

Thesis Statement Explain the goal of your PowerPoint Show the basic structure of your paper Examples: –“In this PowerPoint I will show why Brett Favre, Joe Montana, and Terry Bradshaw are the three greatest quarterbacks of all time.” –“In this PowerPoint I will explain the three most important ways to combat global warming.” These examples are 3 part theses, but it is fine to use a 4 or 5 part thesis—you decide what is best for your topic.

Part 1A — What You Know (Brett Favre) On this slide say what you know about your first subtopic You might know a lot about this part Or you might only give your very basic idea if you are learning about the topic

Part 1B – What Your Sources Say Give information that backs up what you are claiming for this point For each source referenced, list the author and page (if no author, use a shortened version of the title)—page numbers are not needed for web sites Be sure to include at least 2 sources for this part; using more than 2 sources is fine Use another slide for Part 1 if you need to

Part 1B – What Your Sources Say You could easily have multiple slides for each part For example, you might want to discuss the same 2 or 3 things for each subtopic So maybe for each quarterback you want to discuss records, greatest moments, and famous quotes by the player

Part 2B — What You Know (Joe Montana) On this slide say what you know about your first subtopic You might know a lot about this part Or you might only give your very basic idea if you are learning about the topic

Part 2B – What Your Sources Say Give information that backs up what you are claiming for this point For each source referenced, list the author and page (if no author, use a shortened version of the title)—page numbers are not needed for web sites Be sure to include at least 2 sources for this part; using more than 2 sources is fine Use another slide for Part 1 if you need to

Part 3A — What You Know (Terry Bradshaw) On this slide say what you know about your first subtopic You might know a lot about this part Or you might only give your very basic idea if you are learning about the topic

Part 3B – What Your Sources Say Give information that backs up what you are claiming for this point For each source referenced, list the author and page (if no author, use a shortened version of the title)—page numbers are not needed for web sites Be sure to include at least 2 sources for this part; using more than 2 sources is fine Use another slide for Part 1 if you need to

Summary Summarize the 3 main points of your paper The three things that make for a great quarterback are accomplishments, career wins, and personality.
