Using marine air gun shots recorded by onshore broadband instruments: Example from STEEP project, Southern Alaska Christeson et al., JGR, 2013

Data quality: some instruments record shots to offsets of km. Christeson et al., JGR, 2013

Gary Pavlis had a program to generate “SEG-Y” formatted files. Supplied shot table (time, location), and parameters (record length) Had issues with non-standard SEG-Y (big endian / little endian). System administrator had a program to swap bytes. Also had to fill in headers that weren’t filled correctly (latitude, longitude)
