The only time you will be allowed to turn homework in other than on the day it is due is if you have been absent and unable to summit your work on time. Academic dishonesty: Cheating is always a serious issue. Any student caught cheating will receive no credit and notification of cheating will be placed on their record. By speaking in class you will practice and enforce what we will be learning in class. Every time you participate in class I will give you a participation sticker to be put on a participation sheet. I will collect the Participation sheet every two (2) weeks. Try to have at least 10 participation stickers at the end of 2 weeks. Voxer will be a part of an ongoing assignment. You will be given different Speaking or listening activities in which you will have to use VOXER and leave a message for speaking grades in class. If it is an assessment you are not to do them at home. If you do not have a smart phone than you can use Memo voice and your speaking to me. Remind You also need to sign up for my Remind account to receive messages from me on a regular basis by to (708) Both student and parents can sign up to get updates. Google Classroom You will be able to find all worksheets, notes and other class files on our French Google Classroom. Determination of Grade Grades will be posted on Skyward at the end of each week throughout the year. You will have one week after grades have been updated to talk to me outside of class time if you feel there are any discrepancies (mistakes) in your grade due to an omission of homework or class work assignment, project, test/quiz, or class participation. Grade sheets will need to be signed by parents and turned in to maintain communication between teacher-parent-and students. Quizzes may vary from vocabulary, grammar, books we read in class, podcasting activities, listening comprehension, oral proficiency and Binder checks. Binders will be also collected throughout the year and must be ready to summit in order for grading. If binder is not in order and in the binder clips, the binder will not be graded Student will have to organize binder and resubmit for a grade.

Quizzes/Test: If the student is absent on a day of a test or quiz it is the responsibility of that student to make arrangements to take the quiz within one week of their return to class. If one week passes and no plans have been arranged to take within the time period an INCOMPLETE will be added to the grade book for that test or quiz and progress report will show incomplete as a grade until test/quizzes have been taken. My French classes are using a mastery learning teaching model therefore, that means that the students must show mastery of the content this is done by earning at least an 82% B on any Common assessment. If an 82% B is not earned the student must fill out a request to retake the assessment. The content on the assessment will be the same but the questions will be different. Retakes: Students will be encouraged to retake any assessment that they did not score at least an 82% or better. In order to retake an assessment student must fill out retake assessment form. Student will have 2 weeks from the date the assessment was returned to retake it. Tutoring: If you need tutoring at any point in the school year, the student can arrange to meet with me in Room 107 Eisenhower Campus Monday 3:30pm-4:00pm There are after school buses at 4:15pm.
