ROAD NETWORK  The total length of identifiable feeder roads in the Greater Accra Region is 1,327.10km. Composition: Engineered roads-1,204.51km (90.77%) Partially Engineered km (2.50%) Non-Engineered road km (6.73%)

PROGRAMME & PROGRESS FOR 2015 Routine Maintenance Programme  All engineered roads on the feeder roads network which have not been captured under any periodic maintenance programme are currently being reshaped under our routine maintenance programme.

Routine Maintenance Programme  All engineered roads not been captured under any periodic maintenance programme will receive at least one frequency of routine maintenance in the year Periodic Maintenance Programme  All ongoing projects which are not completed by the end of December, 2015 will spill over into the year  Some terminated projects will also be considered for re-award MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME FOR 2016

SOME PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED  Inadequate fuel and other items allocated to the region for project supervision  Insufficient funds to ensure smooth administration and timely servicing/maintenance of vehicles and office equipment  Slow rate of performance by some contractors  Delay in payments of contractors certificates affecting performance and increasing abandonment of projects.
