Lead-in Charles Dickens Charles Dickens was the greatest representative of English critical novelist in the 19th century. He wrote 14 novels and many other short stories in his lifetime. His style was realistic and humors.He gave us a vivid picture of life of ordinary people. His works shows sympathy for the poor.

The spirit of Christmas is something that makes people think about their mistakes and how to improve their life every year. Many people make plans about how they will change the way they are. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is an example of a man, Ebenezer Scrooge, who learns about his mistakes and improves his life.
