Acquiring your first license

Proof of Identity and Age Under 21- ◦state of identity by parents ◦Birth certificate ◦Social security card

Vision and Written Tests At least 20/40 vision in at least one eye with or without corrective lenses Written test- examines your knowledge of the rules of the road, safe driving techniques, road signs, and the laws about alcohol and drugs while driving (14/20)

Learner Permit Every time you practice driving you must be accompanied by a licensed driver who is at least 21 years old Depending on your age your permit is valid for 3-5 years

Preparing for the road test 50 hours of supervised practice with 15 hours after sunset

Safe Driving Course Requirement Driver Education (MV-285) 5 Hour Course (MV-278)

Schedule- Road Test Have certificate before you schedule
