In a coordinated move two cranes lift and rotate the APA frame. Ideally the frame is delivered to the beam that runs through the clean room Adapter could have an opening to allow for “threading” over the support beam C.G Is below the lift points. Requires: Crate on edge that allows for removal of the top sides and ends. Design of a suitable lift adapters that do not overstress the APA Proper safety factors for lift frames CERN safety test and approval ~10x6m floor space aligned with crane beam, crane, crane operator, small foot print man-lift

One was built for Atlas and one for CMS Fixture is rated for 400kg and has been tested at 150% and approved by CERN for 400kg. Fine adjustment of the center of gravity to the rotational axis and adjustment of counter balance to control pitch allow for smooth operation. Estimated fully assembled APA weight with CE is 410kg. CE will not be installed when lifting. Requires: Approval from fixture “owner” Design of a suitable I-frame that does not overstress the APA Proper safety factors for APA and I-frame weight CERN safety test and approval ~10mx6m floor space, crane, crane operator, small foot print manlift to 3m, trained lift operator, trained fixture operator
