 WP11: Optimisation of ocean observing capability The specification for an optimum observational network of FixO 3 platforms, integrated and complemented by other platforms. This will optimise the development of multinational, multiplatform observing networks such as ICOS and EMSO.  WP12: Research and development on critical observatory functions The enhancement of the capability of the FixO 3 infrastructures to make very high quality observations and to develop of new low energy consuming platform design in order to promote more sensors per platform and extension capacities. OBJECTIVES Session 6: Observatories optimization and development Ute Schuster and Jean-Francois Rolin
