What is Physical Activity??  Any form of movement that causes your body to use energy Purposeful ○ Ex: running, swimming Regular routine ○ Wash car, walk dog

Physical Fitness  The ability to carry out daily tasks easily and have enough reserve energy to respond to unexpected demands. Example: ??  Daily Tasks: examples?

Benefits of Physical Activity  Makes your body stronger Makes your body stronger  Increases your energy  Improves your posture  Reduce the risk of serious diseases

How activity affects body systems (physical health)  Cardiovascular System- exercise strengthens the heart muscle (pumps blood more efficiently) Cardiovascular System-  Respiratory System- respiratory system works more efficiently with exercise; more air, muscles don’t tire as quickly Respiratory System-  Nervous System- exercise allows you to respond more quickly to stimuli, improved reaction time Nervous System-
