 to gain a greater understanding of my vision for TGMS  to meet the members of the SLT and understand their role

By Vanessa Pinkney Headteacher Tuesday 28th April 2016 A Presentation for Parents and Governors.

“This school continues to be good. The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection. The school is a happy, caring place. Pupils have a positive and friendly outlook and speak highly of their school. They enjoy learning and are thoughtful and keen to explore and discuss ideas with teachers and one another. Well attended after-school clubs, such as cooking and sport, as well as educational visits effectively promote pupils’ wider learning. The school has a culture of emphasising and rewarding positive attitudes and behaviour. Pupils are well prepared for life in modern Britain.” (OFSTED - January 2016)

I came into this profession to make a difference to children’s lives and will always endeavour to provide my pupils with rich and varied learning opportunities. I am committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum for all pupils, regardless of their abilities, religion or background. I always put the children’s interests above all else and believe in an inclusive education where all children should be able to flourish and develop a love of learning. My passion- Always Better Learning

What is our long term vision? How do we get there? … 2020 Strategic Plan 1.Determine and create new systems and practices of leadership, management and fundraising to ensure the school flourishes into the future. 2.Embrace a whole school culture of success and pride underpinned by our core values of care, respect and unity. 3.Recruit and develop outstanding teaching and school support staff. 4.Promote a broad, dynamic curriculum that equips children for their life in Modern Britain. 5.Invest in continuing to create a 21 st century teaching and learning environment.

Same, but better.
