Living Your Promised Land Life Now!

The Promised Land His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2 Peter 1:3-4

Overcoming Fear - Joshua 1:7-9

We must respond properly in the wilderness. We must overcome the fear that keeps us from taking ground.

Do you want to experience God’s best for your life?

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.

Joshua 1:7-9 Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the L ORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9

Key to overcoming the fear of taking ground Read, believe and obey the Bible

What we should know about the Bible The Bible is unique  Composed over 1600 years  In three continents (Asia, Africa and Europe)  Forty different authors and three languages  One message

The Bible is durable Diocletian (Roman emperor—303AD) Voltaire (French philosopher—18 th century)

The Bible is durable The fact is, the God who had the power and sovereign control to inspire the scriptures in the first place is surely going to continue to exercise His power and sovereign control in the preservation of the Scripture. Westminster Confession

The Bible is supernatural Over three hundred fulfilled prophecies Only a supernatural God would be capable of knowing and revealing the future with 100% accuracy, time after time, in hundreds and hundreds of instances.

God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what. Hebrews 4:12 The Message The Bible is a “change agent”

God’s incentive Joshua 1:8b Then you will be prosperous and successful... Joshua 1:8b  Moral  Civil  Ceremonial life
