It provides opportunities for development of technical and professional skills to complement university education; participation in community service; and interaction among students, faculty and professionals. 

 Each new candidate will be assigned to a committee  The committee chair will serve as a mentor for the candidates in their committee  Candidates will be expected to keep in touch with their mentors to stay up to date  Mentors will be responsible to get new candidates involved in club activities  Mentors will facilitate the transition from candidate to member 

If you are an Accounting student… ◦ Must have completed and received an average 3.3 GPA in MGA 201/202 and an overall 3.0 GPA ◦ Must have and maintain a 3.3 GPA in all accounting courses, including MGA 301, 303, and 311 (fall) and MGA 302 and 314 (spring) in order to become members 

If you are a Finance student… ◦ Must have completed or be currently taking MGF405, 401, 402, 403, or MGA305, or 306 ◦ Must have completed and have a 3.3 GPA in MGA 201/202 ◦ Must have taken or be enrolled in MGF301 ◦ Must maintain a 3.3 overall Finance GPA 

If you are a MIS student… ◦ Must have completed CSE 113 ◦ Must have completed and have a 3.3 GPA in MGA 201/202 ◦ Must have taken or be enrolled in MGS351, MGS402, 404 or 405 ◦ Must maintain a 3.3 overall MIS GPA 

If you are a graduate student… ◦ Must have declared a concentration in Accounting, Finance or MIS ◦ Must have completed at least one semester of graduate study if undergraduate concentration was not Accounting, Finance, or MIS or have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.5 ◦ Must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.3 in all graduate level courses 

If you are a sophomore student: ◦ Must have a 3.0 overall GPA ◦ Must complete MGA 201/202 with an average GPA of 3.3 or higher (TBD End of Spring 2012) ◦ Must maintain average GPA of 3.3 or higher in ALL accounting courses, including MGA 301, 303, 311 (TBD end of Fall 2012) ◦ Must meet candidate requirements in Spring 2012 ◦ Must remain active in Fall 2012 ◦ Will be inducted in January 2013

During this semester all candidates must:   Attend a minimum of 80% of all BAP events. This includes: ◦ 66% of all technical events ◦ 66% of all general meetings (4/5) ◦ 4 hours of community service ◦ Tutor at least 6 hours per semester (1 hour every other week) ◦ 8 hours of VITA  Actively participate in at least 1 committee  Submit unofficial transcript, candidate application, and pay dues ($80) by January 23, 5pm  Submit essay and candidate quiz by February 13, 5pm  Complete candidate interview by February 31 ◦ Turn all documents into Beta mail file in Alfiero 206C
