General Points The role of the Chair: Be prepared Set the ground rules Deal with any conflict of interest Establish confidentiality (may be formal) Involve the silent / manage the long winded Manage the disputes Remain in control Stay focused on the purpose of the meeting / agenda / desired outcomes Adjourn if necessary Summarise actions and agree next steps
