 CPFB develops relationship & coordinates schedule with donor.  Agency picks up donations, free of charge, directly from the donor.  Agency reports weight to CPFB weekly or monthly.  CPFB reports weight to Feeding America.  Feeding America uses the data to provide tax credits to national donors.  More pounds available to you.  Products stay fresher, longer through direct pickups.  No cost involved to you.  Building relationships in your community.  By reporting your pounds-received to Central PA Food Bank, you are able to track how much food you distribute.  We will not charge you for any product donation received from a donor.  We will not take away or redistribute donations from our partner agencies. Information about completed pick-ups will be used for reporting purposes only.  We will collaborate with you to identify donation opportunities based on your needs, availability and resources.  We will help establish donation partnerships, improve current donor relationships and strive to increase both the quality and quantity of donations.  We will provide the tools and training necessary to properly handle product, particularly refrigerated and frozen product. This includes, but is not limited to, food safety training, freezer blankets, insulated bags, digital scales and thermometers.
