Important elements Sculpture is the act and art of making three-dimensional works of art such as statues. The sculptures can be made of many different materials such as wood, stone, clay, metal, sand, and ice. Sculpture has been an important part of culture since ancient times.

organization 2. Add features to your sculpture. Use your clay sculpting tools to create and shape facial features and add other fine details. 1. Begin by building an armature, the supporting framework of your sculpture around which you will apply clay. 3. After sculpture is completed and has dried, begin paint process.

Inspirations of today The Statue of Liberty was placed upon a granite pedestal inside the courtyard of the star-shaped walls of Fort Wood. The metal structure of the Eiffel Tower weighs 7,300 tons while the entire structure including non-metal components is approximately 10,000 tons. The Angel of Independence in Mexico City. It is made of bronze, covered with gold and weighs 7 tons.

Annotated Illustrations #1. Begin the internal armature by making a wire skeleton. #2. Start adding detail to the shape using clay tools. These tools allow you to carve out eyes, nose and mouth ridges in detail. #3. Finally start adding color to your sculpture.

Now, It’s time to start making your sculpture !
