Definition- the repetition of similar consonant sounds at the ends of accented syllables. Example- The repeated t and ch sounds in “ the spurt of a lighted match”

 Definition- a character who provides a contrast to another character.  Example- In Julius Caesar, the jealousy of Cassius serves as a foil to good intentions of Brutus.

 Definition- a poem that tells a story.  Example- La Belle Dame sans Merci

 Definition- Writing that tells about imaginary events that involve science or technology.  Example- Enders game By Orson Scott Card

 Definition - a figure of speech in which what is said is the opposite of what is meant.  Example – The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, Antony calls Brutus “ an honorable man” when, in fact, he wants people to think just the opposite.
