Metodologia TPRS/ making connections/drawings Musica- Children learn by repetition and songs are a great way to incorporate learning into their young lives. Have you ever watched a child as they watch television? Notice how they learn the theme songs to the programs they like and can sing them all day long and annoy you? Its just a simple twist of the words of their favorite songs to help them in learning a new fact or detail for school. Teach- ask your child to teach you the words that we’ve been learning in class.
Expectaciones Your kids will most likely sing many songs in Spanish at home, sorry if this drives you crazy, and you’re welcome if you LOVE música en español! Your kids will not have much written homework, but if they find their grades are not in the A or B range, We suggest minutes of vocab. review every night. They know what vocab. we are working on daily. We don’t assign many long-term projects and when assigned, they should be worked on in class, so we can monitor, assist, and guide. We find that when kids work on these kinds of things at home, they sometimes will use online translators or dictionaries, which don’t really work for the level of Spanish that they know.
