Agriculture Revolution  Farmers found more ways to be efficient.  New technologies were invented.  Farmers were making more money.  Life had become more easier.  The population started to grow.

Jethro Tull  The English inventor found that when soil was broken up or cultivated it helped plants grow.  Jethro Tull invented a machine called the seed drill which could be pulled by horses.  The seed drill planted seeds in a row much faster than hand  This machine was invented in 1701.

Lord Townshend  He found by growing four crops in rotation would help the crops grow much faster.  He would grow Turnips one year, barley the second year, grasses the third year, and wheat the fourth year, and than repeating the cycle.  Four times as much crops would be produced.  Land no longer needed to be kept fallow for its nutrients to recover. He came up with this in the 18 th century.

New Breeds  Many English landowners saw that better farm animals would bring higher profits. Eventually new breeds of cattle and sheep replaced the old, medieval types.  These new breeds produced more meat and thicker wool.  The new breeds did not catch any diseases as easily and were much more expensive than the old breed.

Agriculture Revolution PositiveNegative  The industrial revolution made it easier for people to make money without working to hard.  The industrial revolution was not violent id did not involve fighting.  People started inventing machines that made life much easier.  The industrial revolution led to lots of child labor and homelessness.  The industrial revolution also led to lots of pollution.  The wage for the workers were also very low
