Genivi Alliance

GENIVI Alliance 1 The GENIVI Alliance is a non-profit consortium whose goal is to establish a globally competitive, Linux-based operating system, middleware and platform for the automotive in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) industry.

GENIVI Alliance 1 The GENIVI Alliance was founded on March 2, 2009 by BMW Group, Delphi, GM, Intel, Magneti-Marelli, PSA Peugeot Citroen, Visteon, and Wind River Systems.

GENIVI Alliance 1 On 2nd of August 2011, The GENIVI Alliance launched its compliance program. This program is open the registration of the infotainment platforms that respect the GENIVI Software Architecture. On 19 of September 2012, the GENIVI alliance launched its public open source software project. This project is a container for the software created by the Alliance. It is hosted by the Linux Foundation.
