EbA approaches to food security are, by their nature, designed to produce more under climate change. This project sets out to demonstrate how ecosystems and nature can be placed at the center of climate resilience, ecosystem productivity and food security

Workshop Expectations: Improved knowledge on key climate change adaptation and food security issues in Zambia and the linkages to national and regional development priorities; Increased awareness on Ecosystem Based Adaptation for Food Security (EBAFoS) project specifics; How the EBAFoS project can contribute to and compliment other on-going and planned activities on climate change adaptation and food security in Zambia; and Lively discussions on the design of the demonstration projects in the context of other national and regional activities and other ecosystems

Workshop Programme 10: The EbA for Food Security: - General background and introduction - How to apply, the process and the selection criteria Work groups: - Introduction to and explanation of the group work session objectives, processes and reporting format - Divide into groups Dr. Richard Munang, UNEP Work group sessions - Each group to nominate a note-taker and a rapporteur Lunch Presentations by groups (rapporteurs) to the plenary and discussions Facilitator Next StepsDr. Richard Munang, UNEP Closing remarks Tea and coffee and continuation of discussions
