OAUG Website – User Communities Section On the OAUG website, the User Communities (Geos and SIGs section) is prominently featured. The sub-sections in the User Communities menu below are maintained and updated as necessary by Nicole. Below is a screen shot of the section and drop down menu.

Coordinator Resources Page The Coordinator Resources Page is your one stop shop for all Coordinator communications and OAUG resource information and support tools details. Please visit this page frequently for updates and new programs / information.
Coordinator Resources Page Cont. Once logged in, the page leads with the Latest News and Program Updates/Additions. This section provides information on new support services and initiatives as well as information about ongoing activities and programs. The Forms and Applications Section (on the left) provides links to: Geo/SIG Manual – the how to guide for operations and OAUG support services (a Must read! ), Annual Re-affiliation form, and other documents. There also links for sample documents to assist in streamlining the operations of your Geo/SIG.

User Communities Announcements & News Page The User Communities section on the OAUG website includes an announcements & news page. This page is the single point for marketing all Geo and SIG events and news. The Announcements & News page content is linked to the monthly OAUG eNews. eNews reaches more than 50,000 OAUG contacts. Submit content to Nicole for posting.
OpenWorld 2014 – Announcements / Updates September 28 – October 2, 2014 User Group Sunday Update Once OAUG will have the largest presence on User Group Sunday (September 28 th ) – with 61 meetings (17 Geos and 44 SIGs requested meeting space). All requesting groups will receive only one 45 minute session. Sessions are currently in the approval process. As each session is approved the primary speaker will receive an notice to register for OpenWorld with the complimentary pass. All speaker changes or session cancellations must be coordinated through Nicole. The actual time and room assignments will be determined in the coming weeks. The schedule is set to go live on July 18 th with the OpenWorld schedule builder is live. The schedule WILL NOT be communicated before this date or until Oracle provides authorization to release the schedule. Once the final schedule is available Nicole will market through OAUG channels.
New Requirements for COLLABORATE Meeting Space Beginning with COLLABORATE 2015, all Geos and SIGs hosting meeting will be required to comply with the guidelines below. These guidelines are intended to ensure compliance with OAUG affiliation standards and consistent marketing occurs throughout the entire conference planning process. All Geos and SIGs must be compliant and maintain compliance throughout the COLLABORATE planning process. All Geos and SIGs must complete the meeting request process in accordance with communicated deadlines. Upon notice of meeting acceptance, all Geos and SIGs must include conference marketing on their individual websites. Marketing materials will be provided by OAUG. Updates should be made as materials are provided. Geos and SIGs not including marketing on their website may have their meeting cancelled. All Geos and SIGs approved to host meetings must update their session description 2-3 weeks prior to the conference. These updates should include detailed session information describing the content to be presented, guest speakers, etc. This will assist in driving attendance to the meetings. Only 1 complimentary conference pass is provided for each Geo/SIG hosting a meeting. The comp pass is provided to a current member of the Geo/SIG leadership team who also has a current OAUG membership. Comp passes will not be provided to guest speakers or Oracle presenters. Geos and SIGs will be provided OAUG marketing slides 2-3 weeks prior to COLLABORATE. These must be included and reviewed during Geo/SIG session.
OAUG Database Demo OAUG has transitioned to a new database system. With the implementation of the new database, enhanced functionality has been provided to the Geos and SIGs. Please note: improvements will continue in the coming months. Now I would like to provide a demo of the new database system.
