Stanley Yelnats his nickname was cave man and he was new at the camp and he was not athletic at all. He is at camp because he stole shoes.

Dear mom, Camp is hard, but challenging. We’ve been running obstacle courses, and have to swim long distances on the lake. Tomorrow we learn to rock climb. I know that sounds scary, but don’t worry. I’ll be careful. it’s not all fun in games here, but I think I’m getting a lot out of it. It builds character.
